Bikram yoga, Hot Yoga

Bikram yoga, also known as hot yoga, is an advanced and slightly different version of yoga. Bikram yoga originates in India, Calcutta and it has been developed by Bikram Choudhury, the same person that named the techniques. Ok, so we know what Bikram yoga is, let’s what is different in it from the normal yoga practiced by people today.

In fact, the techniques are pretty much the same, the only difference would be the fact that the studios where you can practice Bikram yoga are heated and have several heating equipment that you need to use. This, supposedly, deepens the effectiveness of the workout for the body and soul.

Now, Bikram yoga is pretty rare still, so I wouldn’t jump into thinking that it is the best for you. Some people find it effective, others enjoy normal yoga better. It depends on you and your body as to how effective Bikram yoga is for you, so I guess you need to try it if you want to see how it does. Remember to talk to the instructor first and let him know that you only want a couple of sessions first, so you can judge the effects it has on you. There are people that just can’t stand heat, like me for example, and Bikram yoga is probably not for them.

Bikram yoga, the new and effective way to relax and feel more in touch with your inner self, at least for some people. I recommend it especially for those that enjoy heat and also if it’s winter outside.
